Setback four: the ferry took me to Liberty Island before Ellis.

Setback five: missed the 4:30 ferry by seven minutes, which was still enough to let me watch it pull out of the harbor.

On the other hand, victory condition one: getting my photo ID for the National Park Service volunteer position.

Victory condition two: getting to do some cataloging work that was tedious but straightforward, familiar, and comforting.

Victory condition three: having a few minutes to hang out in the stacks by myself.

Victory condition four: finishing the rough draft of a work in progress and being pumped enough to know I can get to another one soon.
