Red as strawberries.
Jan. 22nd, 2011 11:48 pmOddly enough, my internship today went great. I finally got around to setting up a new schema for the Gallery's library - it's not Library of Congress classification or anything nearly that formal, just some reorganization of categories and streamlining what'll go where on the shelves. The sort of work I was trained to do in school. There was also some leftover cake from a party a couple of days ago, so I got some nice dessert at lunch. Altogether productive and pleasant.
Then the day went to shit when I had some forced interaction with the worst of the girls on the floor. I realize now I should've left the kitchen right away or eaten leftovers in my room, but I was hungry and wanted a hot dinner. And so they were there in the room with me for a lot longer than was healthy for me. Turns out punching air conditioning units bruises knuckles - who knew?
One thing led to another, and I wound up talking to one of the security guards in the lobby for almost fifteen minutes. The talking helped big-time, but I don't know if I'd been able to talk to him without the punching.
Then I had some tea, some chocolate, and a little time to unwind. And now I'm feeling better, and I hope I don't have to do it again tomorrow night.
