I need more icons over here.
I'm trying to not feel bad about not writing much today by reminding myself I did, in fact, get a few words out, and I also submitted a number of job applications. Which is a fair reason to want to dissolve into a puddle or just play through Bioshock again to get everything untangled enough to eat dinner and go to bed.
If Thursday goes well enough, I can go to a coffee shop and do further narrative untangling there. In the meantime, if tomorrow goes well, I'll be breaking in a new pair of Chuck Taylors at the greenmarket. A couple of weeks back someone stopped to ask me about them, and I explained how I began wearing them in high school, how I rotate out old pairs, and how they're always well-traveled even if they don't leave New York City. And I was sure to say they were as close to the Platonic ideal of sneakers as I've ever been able to find.
