Bathe me in magnolias.
Trading magnolias and cherry blossoms for ornamental pears never seems fair. If they were real pears, I'd feel differently. Even so, even as much as I'd like practical fruit trees in their place, it's nice to have flowers on the trees for another couple of weeks.
The bright green of summer is already peeking in around the edges. There's still a bit of chill in the air as it gets late, but sooner than I'll expect it'll be hot and humid every moment of the day. Which means that for the moment, I'm taking the slight coolness with as much grace as I can manage. In any case, they'll be back again next year.
