A total of three cups of juneberries and mulberries are hanging out in my freezer right now, waiting for me to find a suitable recipe.

Nice way to spend the solstice.

Nothing's ripe over here yet, but when that happens I'll be foraging too.

My brother and I used to climb a big mulberry tree, on the rural street where we grew up in Florida. I've never cooked with mulberries at all and don't know what I'd do with them. All I know how to do is eat 'em right there on the spot and get stains all over my skin and my clothes.
