Idle thought.
This is the second week in a row I haven't gone to a Monday farmer's market. It's not a hardship in any meaningful way - I do most of my grocery shopping over the weekend, so it's not like I need to go, and I can get a fair amount of cover letter writing done if I start early in the morning when I'd otherwise be on the subway. Mostly, it's that I really like having something that gets me outside for a while and interacting with people. Seeing the same people, at the same time each week, getting to know them to form a clearly delineated and still congenial relationship, is sometimes all the interaction I want or can handle for a day. The food is a bonus.
This wasn't one of those days. Still, I would have liked some foccacia. Maybe next week.
