Wash your hands of it.
November began with rain, loud enough to wake me up and coming down through the rest of the morning. There's not a lot to see from my windows, but there is some ivy around the corner of the building that comes into view when it's fully leafed out. Its leaves have been turning, and this morning they started coming down, blowing about and falling thanks to weather that's finally big enough to knock autumn into place. It hasn't been summer for a while. And it's autumn now.
I'm not doing NaNoWriMo; I'm probably not even going to get my current WIP up to half the accepted wordcount. If it's not research essays and assignments it's cover letters and job applications, and keeping a clear head to maintain a voice. I do want to finish this soon, though - however soon it'll take - to get to the next thing on my mind. The fact that the next project is contingent on me having watched all of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is somewhat helpful inasmuch as I can't jump in right away and shuffle the queue around just because a story started screaming at me that it needed to exist. I'm having fun planning it out and deciding on some of the details of things like points of view and backstory, and yes, it's very much a canon-rooted AU like I tend to trend towards.
Family developments continue apace; I'll see how therapy this weeks gets them sorted in my head.
