Morning improvements.
A couple extra hours of sleep, fresh coffee, and some decongestants, and I'm not completely back to normal, but a whole lot closer than where I was yesterday. Given that I was so out of it I managed to burn the coffee, this is a huge step up.
What happened was I pulled myself out of bed with the alarm, put the coffee on the stove to boil, and thought I'd go back to bed and doze for another half-hour. Then, what really happened is I slept for another hour, the water in the percolator boiled off, the residue set off the smoke alarm, and the adrenalin rush shot me out of bed without any chance of falling back to sleep. That my apartment smelled like the back room of a low-end college town coffeehouse for the rest of the day is a side effect I'm not sure if I like or not.
In any case, today calls for more tea with honey, more citrus, and - quite possibly - a very low-impact gym session that will include making use of the steam room. I'll see about putting on pants first.
