Get some clarity.
Day 15: In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Too many to list. Far too many. Fandom has, on the whole and more often than not, been one of the best things in my life. It's up there with hammocks and loquats and chocolate-chip cookies.
But - when I reach out with something I've made, when I put a story I wrote out there for other people to read, and then to hear they were moved enough to laugh or cry, those are some of the memories I hold in a special place, because they remind me what I have to share has value, and what I have to say is worth the time it takes to speak it.
