Locked out.
Everything already on my computer works just fine. The problem isn't with the modem, it's with the computer's ability to recognize that it's connected to the internet. So it's probably a software problem.
I hate software problems.
If I avoid thinking about connecting to the internet at all from my own computer and just going to my parents' to get my stuff done from there, it's a little better. I can go on Sunday and find the right tech support number to call, and then see what happens when I get in touch with someone. My ISP is sending someone next Thursday, but if it's not somethng involving actual hardware, all she'll be able to give me is a diagnosis of...some sort of software problem.
A good chunk of what's getting to me about this is the inability to do pretty much anything related to getting a job, but most of it's not being able to talk to people.
