The US Secret Service now has a Twitter feed, so
ayalesca and I preemptively wrote one for the CIA:

A good chunk of the afternoon went to sorting through job listings to collect potential leads; with the websites plus my e-mail feeds, I've got thirty-one in my current batch. I think it's a positive sign my major feeling is resignation, since I was thinking about hitting up a museum tomorrow to get out of the Y for a bit in the afternoon, and I won't have the time if I want to knock off at least eight, and possibly as many as twelve if I hit a decent stride. The National Museum of the American Indian and the Museum of Sex both sound worth a few hours each, but I don't think I can spare the time for the proper attention plus the commute. Then again, the Guggenheim is six blocks from here, and I can get in free.
The other good chunk of the afternoon - the better one - had me in Central Park, past the Reservoir and Turtle Pond to explore the Ramble for a while. It's really the city's backyard in there, and it's not wild but it's definitely feral. I wasn't expecting to be surprised at streams and ponds, but I was, and I think that says a lot about how fast people can adjust to their present circumstances. I didn't see anything more exotic than what was likely a black-crowned night heron and red-winged blackbird, unless ballet dancers practicing their leaps and spins counts as something new and different. And the blackbird mostly counted for nostalgia value.
It's nearly too late to be contemplating tuna salad, but after the walk I hit the gym for some upper-body work anyway, and some extra fuel wouldn't go amiss. Maybe just some toast.

*snerk*
You should make that a real Twitter account. I bet you could have lots of fun posting tweets that are only *partially* redacted every time something major happens. *g*

What I should do is invest in more instant miso soup packets. I was craving something savory, and those would hit the spot. I'll see about getting some today.
