I have no idea when the prime times are for posting public notices, so I'll just try this now and go for broke.
muskratjamboree, a multi-fandom slash con in Boston, is opening registration for the next upcoming spring con this Saturday. As a double-whammy, not only will I not be on the computer on Saturday as per religious values but I won't be in New York at all, as I'm going out of town for the weekend to visit family. So even if I had regular internet access, I wouldn't likely be around a computer in the half-hour window of time that the registration will probably use to sell out.
In all probability I'll be within easy travel distance from Bostom come April, and there's no doubt I'd love to go. But as I've outlined, I won't be able to register. And I could easily cover the registration fee.
So! Since the process lets people register for themselves plus one additional individual, I have a pair of questions!
Is anyone reading this post going to the con? And if so, with the knowledge I'd cover my registration cost in cash if desired, would you be open to me being your 'plus one', as it were?
Lines, callers, go!

^ it looks like I can just register for you alone, if you'd like. I have no interest in going but would be happy to help out.

It seems a bit of an oversight on their part that they don't have a differentiation between "people attending the con who sleep at the hotel" and "people attending the con who sleep in driving distance of the hotel." I know about keeping a low overhead and managing a reasonable number of people, but still.
