Second thoughts.

My mother wanted to take me here, but from the website it looks like there isn't anything they have to offer that'd look good on a person. So instead she's taking me here. Yes, I'm indeed one of those people that looks at the Bloomingdale's website and thinks They haven't a single thing I'd like to wear.

Last night in a chat session I learned about several stores, none of which I'd known about and only one I had, all of which look like they have a reasonable chance of having at least one skirt in stock that I wouldn't mind wearing for several hours at a stretch.

Taking a closer look at both catalogues, I wonder how much of my revulsion to the first two is their choice of models. On the fashion websites, the models look drugged, hungry, and apathetic to their situation. On the others, the women are usually posed in a reasonable context to their clothing and nearly always look like they're interested in having their picture taken.

Sullen teenagers and serious women. Now that I think about it, this whole thing might actually be that simple.

My mom loved J. Jill! Nice but not stuffy; looks good while still easy to wear.

Your mother had good taste.

I have such well formed ideas about the things I want to put on my skin, and I don't know the right vocabulary to use to ask about it either. Tomorrow I want to get my measurements done by a professional so I can go about buying things with more information.
