Brief trip update.
Vancouver is lovely and joyful, with deep blue skies and coniferous trees reminding me of California, and there will be more but the ferry ride from Victoria back to Vancouver left me wiped out and the major reason I decided to spend some time online instead of a shower is because this is such a posh house there's a bathroom connected right to the guest bedroom.
That said, I'm glad I'm hanging out with people that understand it's okay to be on vacation with someone else and also spend afternoons doing things alone. One person today went on a bus tour of the island, another hung out in the shops, I went to Butchart Gardens, and we all had a great time doing our own things. It really makes me look forward to tomorrow.
