Progress update.

If I put everything away now, I'll have five very tightly packed boxes of books to transport across the country to Pittsburgh and keep around in the basement for when I finally get a long-term job and secure living area. I'm going to try to narrow it down to two.

This means another round of getting rid of the ones that I've got attachments to but can replace the bare texts - all my Discworld novels, most of my comic strip collections, some novels, a few paperbacks, some children's books. And I don't like doing it, but I don't know what else I can do right now. If I knew right where I was going, I could justify keeping them, but I don't, so I can't.

if you want to sell a bunch of stuff quick and get some cash for it, we can take a field trip to half-price books :)

good luck... I had to do the same thing a few years ago. it's a pain, but it's also liberating!
