Temptations.

The fact that there are plumbers coming in and out of the house to fix one of the bathrooms - it's been taking a while, which is why there's a toilet on the porch - is almost enough to make me think I can justify taking myself out to lunch at a little sit-down place downtown before going to campus for some research and to draft an assignment.

I've already gotten crickets, so that's at least one discrete task out of the way.

It's so lovely out today, I might grab a bite out as well.

And, hey, if you need a cheerleader later, let me know. You were one to me.

The plumbers should be here tomorrow, too, so I'll wait until then. Which still allows me to stop there today for a fortifying shot of caffeine.

Given what I've got on my plate, some cheerleading wouldn't go amiss.

I'd say having a toilet on your porch is as good a reason as any to step out for a while and grab something to eat. And hey -- at least you don't have to eat the crickets.

Crickets are remarkably tasty. Cook them with garlic and olive oil and they'd be delicious - but just about anything cooked with garlic and olive oil is worth eating.

I've always preferred chocolate-covered crickets, myself. Though, as you say, anything with garlic and olive oil is worth the effort.

Heck, I could just eat the garlic and olive oil.

Mmm, garlic.
