Ongoing process.

Given that I have a FedEx tracking number as well as a landlady willing to be in the house for a couple of hours tomorrow, it's my line of thought that it'd be possible to track the package long-distance and then call my landlady and tell her she needs to be behind the door to open it from eleven to one. Something like that.

The hitch in this plan is that I won't have computer access to check the package's movements.

A workaround might well be posting the tracking number to this Livejournal and asking people use the services provided to send me text messages to my phone to tell me when to call and update the landlady. To a tight filter, of course.

Does anyone think this crazy enough to work, or is it crazy enough to fail spectacularly?

Work is a bit unpredictable but I think I can help too...

Although I'm not sure if the fedex site gives delivery info to the time resolution you need. In my experience, it usually says "out for delivery" at some point, and that point could be 5 a.m. but the package might not get there until much later in the day and it's hard to tell when...

but get in touch if you want me to check it.

also, strawberries! 8 p.m., right?

I've added you to the filter with the tracking number post. If you refresh your friends-list you should be able to see it.

Yes! 8:00.
