Back in the 'Burgh.
It's always the same feeling changing my computer's clock and rewinding my watch to fit Pittsburgh's time zone - like I'm admitting to something I'd rather not discuss, but have to deal with nonetheless. My internal clock thinks it's still pretty early, which this is balanced out by having woken up just before six in the morning. About eight hours of travel this time, all told, and I still managed to cook something for dinner. Stir-fried rice from leftover egg whites, rice in the cupboard, and frozen vegetables stashed for exactly this level of depseration.
I took a taxi from the airport to the house, without guilt. I'm fine with taking the bus to the airport, so long as it's not too early I might miss the flight, but coming back I'm not ready to deal with something that calls for even more waiting. It's especially nice to come back so fast to cards and letters waiting for me - thank you,
blackmare_9 and
nightdog_barks!
It was snowing when the plane landed, and it's still snowing now, and I can reach out of my window onto the roof of the porch and grab a handful of the stuff if I want to. Instead, I'll boggle at the price of my textbooks and think about grocery shopping tomorrow: I'm too overtired for much else right now.
