Lights come up.
My father took me to the IT department on campus for someone to see if they could fix my mouse problem. It's something of a consolation to hear he'd never seen this sort of problem before. The issue's still not fixed - he thought he might be able to help by opening up the laptop itself and cutting a couple of wires, but I'm not ready to go that far until I've got everything backed up safely. At the moment, this isn't like buying a new car because of a flat; it's like having a car that doesn't do right turns easily.
I'm not looking to heading back to Pittsburgh for a large number of reasons, from having to deal with airport security to the amount of countertop space available in the kitchen, but it'll be nice to get back into a regular day-to-day routine. Only two classes this upcoming semester, not three, but I've added a few hours onto my work schedule, so it should come out to pretty much the same - except for having a third less homework, of course.
On the way home from downtown, silhouetted against the darkening sky, there was a ten-strong skein of geese flying away. Where they were coming from and where they were going, I don't know. I'm just glad I got to see them.
