Talk it good.
Challenge #15
Fandom Snowflake Challenge's 2023 Fandom Wrapped!
Your top 5 fandoms for 2023 were: In alphabetical order, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jackass, MASH, Team Fortress 2, Top Gun
Your top 5 fandom spaces (Discord, Twitter, etc.) in 2023 were: Archive of Our Own, Blue Sky, Discord, Dreamwidth, Tumblr
The top 5 things you did to contribute to fandom in 2023 were: Write fics, promoted conventions to first-time attendees, make people laugh, curated tag collections on Tumblr, commissioned poetry readings
Your top 5 most appreciated fandom contributions were: One chapter of a challenge fic, that time I made a bunch of people laugh, that other time I made a bunch of other people laugh, that time someone thanked me for getting them to go to an online fandom convention, and this one time someone complained she wanted to listen to a podcast that the host removed from the internet on account of the very understandable reason of her having divorced her ex-husband and fellow co-host but I could send that someone every episode because I saved them all onto my hard drive thanks to my refusal to capitulate to streaming and ongoing commitment to using MP3 players that don't connect to the Internet.
Bonus questions:
Your fandom personality in 2023 was: (i.e. Fandom Eeyore, Twitter Refugee, Discord Party Animal, etc.) I'm going to go with "aggressively well-intentioned" but I'm open to suggestions.
In 2023, you discovered: (that you adore hockey RPF, but you hate the Liberty Mutual emu, etc.) that there's something to be said for doing your own stunts because the two movie shoots in 2020 with the greatest commitment to COVID safety protocols were Mission Impossible 7 and Jackass Forever and I'm not going to feel any embarrassment about liking those movies ever again.
Your fandom home in 2023 was: (Bluesky, Mastodon, Middle Earth, lying in my bed, with a good book, etc.) A toss-up between Discord and Dreamwidth.
