I caved today and turned on the AC. I'd realized my computer was making a series of sounds I usually associate with several hours of graphic-heavy gameplay from doing nothing unusual - maybe four tabs of Gmail, Discord, Tumblr, and Hulu. But Hulu kept breaking, and the other sites weren't doing so well either. There was still the stretching issue. So I figured trying to cool down the room was worth a shot.

It's not making those sounds anymore, at any rate. I don't know how Firefox will do with streaming services going out from here, but if running the AC for a few hours in the afternoon keeps my computer happy in the heat wave, I can about live with that.
