There's an odd freedom in not having access to a cell phone. It'll be nice to have it back, if only for the cute pictures of other people's cats, and in the meantime, it's quite pleasant to just be out and around and in total avoidance mode.

I recognize this can be easily replicated by just leaving my phone in my apartment most of the time. I'm trying to savor what fringe benefits I can find while I wait for the new one to come in, and I hope they contact me by email about it.

That's why I photowalk without a working cell phone. It's nice to be actually AFK. I carry my older phone with no sim card, so it's basically an iPod. No blue hell sites, no calls, nothing :)
