A still suburban town.

Yesterday, I was browsing real estate listings in California for vaguely creative-based reasons, as one does.

One such listing had an option for a virtual tour, as these things sometimes have these days.

I entered my contact information on a whim, thinking I'd get an email form to fill out where I could request interior photos and nothing more would come of it.

Maybe three minutes later, my phone rings. It was the listing's real estate agent.

I was polite, I was courteous, I let her take her time. I was honest in saying I lived in New York and couldn't easily make it out to California, while I don't have plans to relocate at this time I was thinking of it, I'd love a tour if it wouldn't be a bother, thank you, thank you, so kind, I really appreciate you being so generous, thank you.

It turned out the offer for the virtual tour was from an outdated listing, so she called me again, and I kept with it, this isn't a problem, I was just hoping for the floor plans to get an idea of the interior, I really don't mind, thank you for getting back in touch, it's okay, hopefully this will get taken off the website so it won't happen again and make things harder for you, thank you, have a great afternoon.

Making real estate agents think I have real estate levels of money doesn't happen often, and it still hasn't gotten old.
