I got a Moderna booster shot today. My original shots had been Pfizer, and while I could've gotten a booster of that variety, Moderna was appealing for several reasons, the largest of which was that I was able to schedule the shot at the local Jewish Community Center, which was the statistically least likely possible location to be playing Christmas music.

I got there early to fill out paperwork, and the timing of that worked out that I got my shot at the actual time I'd scheduled for my appointment. I don't think that's ever happened to me with a medical procedure before.

I celebrated with a very large coffee, and I think that's why I managed not to feel much weariness during the afternoon. Not until the caffeine started to wear off, which should make falling asleep tonight that much easier.

I did the same with my shots, Pfizer and a Moderna booster. I remember reading that there was some scientific opinion that mixing the doses might provide better protection. Plus Moderna seems a more reliable vaccine in terms of dosing.

Yay booster shot! I also got Moderna for mine after having Pfizer initially.
