Break this world.

It snowed today. Less than a tenth of an inch, and none of it stuck around, and it still happened to be documented, verified, and certified as the first snow of the winter.

I checked my mattress type: it's foam, of a make and model IKEA doesn't carry anymore, and it doesn't have stuff on it. No pillow top, no patterns on the fabric itself. A sleeping slab. I don't understand how that's become a difficult thing to communicate to the people around me, but given the communication problems I've been having recently, it's probably something on my end.

Communication problems are definitely a tendency I've noticed an uptick in as of late, and I'm having a hard time quelling and quashing it, and dealing with them when they arise. I think talking to people more would help in general, but it's difficult to get such opportunities these days.

Perhaps you could just get a foam slab replacement from someplace other than a bed/mattress place? I know some friends who got their own from some kind of materials shop (they no longer live in the area where they bought it) and I remember my mother had one to exercise on years ago.

Something like: https://www.amazon.com/High-Density-Foam-Blocks/s?k=High+Density+Foam+Blocks or I saw that Home Depot and Joanne's Fabric Stores both sold Thick Multi-Purpose Foam.
