Of note: there's now local absinthe at the greenmarkets. I tried some, and while I still don't like it, I can understand why other people do.
I told someone about this, and she remarked it used to be that there were all sorts of rules and regulations about importing the stuff, and now she could go just go buy it. I said it makes sense, though, because it's from New Jersey, and you know what they say about New Jersey - "Everything is legal in New Jersey!"
In actuality, it's from upstate New York, but come on, it was right there.
