It was a bad week for a lot of reasons - slicing my finger, a dog lunging at me in the park on my bike ride yesterday, communication issues online, what I think was an anxiety attack - so I went ahead and commissioned two poems instead of just one.
Firesetter by Matt Rader and Salt by Marilyn Krysl are fire and water, something I did deliberately. I got them both from
musesfool and while they're quite different in terms of tone, style, and content, they're very much the same in terms of grabbing at your heart and not letting go.
And they're very much the same in terms of reminding me to keep my eyes on the world around me, and keep myself open to as much of it as I can manage.
