Keeping track.
Two great things happened today.
First, I bought an iced latte at a local independent coffee place, using my own travel mug, and didn't drink it right away but brought it back to my apartment. Once back, I popped the little tab, poured out the chilled, mixed coffee, and drank the best caffeinated mint-flavored chocolate milk you could ever imagine out of a diner mug. It's something I'll have to do again at some point.
Second, on the bike ride back from the coffee place, I stopped at the traffic light, and I heard a honk, a 'hey you, hey lady', and looked over at a taxi driver who was grinning, happy, and shouted at me, your hair's so long! your hair's so beautiful!
I shouted back my thanks, we both laughed, and when the light changed green, took off to the rest of our lives on the beautiful early spring day.
