A periodic challenge.

Challenge #7

In your own space, create your own challenge. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

My challenge to myself, my friends, acquaintances, former co-workers, that guy who stood in front of me at the bank this morning, the world at large:

Let go of the guilt of those emails. It's fine. It's been long enough you can clear out the inbox. Read it, tag it, archive it, or read it and delete it, or just delete it. If it's really important - well, if you don't have to answer it, how important is it, with it having been so long?

Maybe keep a notepad handy and write down the stuff that sticks with you, if you like.

And let those emails go, and free up both your inbox and your headspace. After a while, they're not worth the energy and time you're giving them.

It's a great challenge as I know so many people who are drowning in them.

I've made it my personal policy that all emails received in a day must be acted upon, archived appropriately or deleted within the day...ish.
