1.Maybe by AurumCalendula - I don't know who most of these people are. I don't know what they're doing. I can still follow along the story of bruised, aching hope despite everything that's been thrown at them to try to convince them otherwise, of bad choices made for good reasons and trying to manage some grace even at the end.

2. Asunder by rageprufrock - it's got enough kudos I doubt this is a new fic to a lot of people, but it was new to me this year, so I'm sharing it because it might be new to someone else as well. Proof positive that the farther from canon you go, the stronger your characters need to be - and they're solid here, through and through.

3. Friday by girlpire - something I stumbled over by accident a few days ago in one of those low "what am I doing here in fandom" phases I get every so often. Thankfully, there's always something to shock me out of those phases and remind me why I hang out here.
