So this is the new year.

The inaugural posting challenge begins again.

Challenge #1

In your own space, introduce yourself! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I'm from the hinterlands, and I'm happy to be here. My hobbies include getting distracted by birds, validating my friends' emotional states, and coming up with story ideas that seem so obvious to me I can't believe nobody's written them yet, which leaves me in the state of having to write them in order for me to be able to read them. My posting habits include daily observations and anecdotes, weather patterns and local pigeons, tracking my emotional state for personal reference, and the occasional piece of fandom output.

You can find me on the Archive of Our Own, Tumblr, and Twitter, and read an explanation of the hinterlands comment here.

Your emotional validation is highly supportive, like knee braces.

I can definitely relate to that. I also have a very slow creative process so I tend to not only be surprised that no one else has done it when I think of it, but that no one thinks of it in all the time it takes me to put words together.

*waves* I really feel the need to write the stories you want to see in the world.

Hello from the Snowflake! Yes for writing stories you want to read yourself! You've got a nice list of fandoms on your AO3. (I'm hopelessly still writing the stories I want to read about my favourite Harry Potter characters.)

I definitely feel you on validating your friend and on the seemingly obvious story idea thing! Actually, getting distracted by birds too.

I like that you posted links to your presence on other sites, I might go back to my intro post and add those as well. :)

The hinterlands explanation was cool and I this bit validating my friends' emotional states made me smile.
