Summertime has fallen.

In other news, my building put up the yearly tree in the entrance vestibule, and I'm glad they had the restraint to wait until December. Especially since outdoor dining is still a thing, which means music pumped out onto the sidewalk, and as such, there's parts of various blocks near me I won't be able to walk down until the 26th at the earliest.

There's also still a few stubborn leaves on the trees in the parks, a small number of trees with a decent amount of foliage on them - some of which is still late-summer green, peeking out from the bottom of the yellows and oranges slowly melting down from the tops. The flowers are mostly gone, the grasses fading away, the bird nests much easier to see. As I rode up an overpass, I took note of the scaled-waves-ripples texture of the clouds. I don't know what they're bringing with them besides the blotting out of the sun to the point the world is stripped of shadows. I heard there's potential for the first snowfall of the year. I hope it comes soon.
