Catching up.
The most Halloween-type thing I've yet done today was eat a Reese's pumpkin with the little candies inside. I'd better not give myself reasons to go into drug stores in the near future - those are dangerous holiday candies.
While not based around Halloween, a fairly autumnal thing I did today was buy a garlic braid. It came with rosemary, thyme, and sage braided in as well, so it smells lovely and rich. I can't wait to start cooking with it.
Yesterday, though, I saw someone doing a closet cosplay of the Fourth Doctor. She had the sixteen foot scarf, the long beige coat, smart trousers and nice shoes - I suspected, from the scarf alone, but it was her face mask with lots of Doctor Who images that pushed me from suspicious into certain. I went to compliment her, and I was apparently the first person to get it, absolutely making her day.
On Thursday, out in the rain, I watched a hawk eating a rat in the park, completely unbothered by both my stopping to watch it from a bike and a parks department pickup truck stopping so the driver could take pictures, and last weekend I saw a wedding in the park consisting of the bride, the groom, the officiant, and the photographer. Most of that was reminders I need to get back into the habit of blogging.
A new month starts soon. No better time.

I'll bet you did. I didn't go out yesterday but ran a few errands on Friday and was disappointed that no one seemed to notice the Baby Yoda mask I was wearing (in honor of The Mandalorian's new season).
