Summer's closing in.

It's been brought to my attention it might be cheaper, and easier, to replace my air conditioner than have it cleaned. The one I have came with my apartment as a kind of gift from the last tenant. It's not covered in my lease.

I could still keep the old unit, have someone I know clean it themselves, and then sell it on Craigslist for enough to recoup the cost of cleaning it. NYC will be opening itself up in the next couple of weeks; after that, I think it'd be reasonably safe to make such a purchase with the installation option.

One without Wifi capabilities, please and thank you.

It'd also give me time to get the apartment somewhat tidied to accommodate someone coming in to do such an installation.

I'm also thinking of picking up one of these, and be disappointed that ThinkGeek as I knew it is no more, because I'm sure they'd have exactly the sort of miniature face/computer cooling fan of my dreams. Compared to ThinkGeek in its heyday, the MOMA store is downright lackluster in its offerings.
