The pigeons think they've trained me to put out seeds for them when they land on my air conditioner and peck at the windows. Joke's on them: I trained the pigeons to act as my backup alarm clock. It's a tremendously effective motivation to get up, get out of bed, and get on with the day. Just knowing something else wants me out there.

Adventures in fic-editing continue. It's a Buffy fic set in California, mostly the Bay Area. I'm from California. I'm getting notes from people who didn't grow up there, so I've had to explain things like "California roll" outside of the sushi context and why "Muni" gets a capital letter.

As it is, I think I have enough that if I get a couple more people to look over the first couple of chapters and hold my hand, I can begin posting in the next couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it, too.

That's really clever! I have motivational cats, but having (semi-)wild animals to do it is very cool!
