Dreamed a great parade.
Brunch in the park was a full success - no rain, plenty of shade, and the humidity broke once everyone arrived. Because of the rain threat, the turnout was low enough I felt good about not baking that sheet pan spanakopita. Three different baked goods, plus coffee, was more than enough. Other people brought donuts, cookie bars, brownies, and a host of other treats and goodies, and, of course, themselves.
We talked theme parks. We talked waiting in line at theme parks. We talked Denmark as the real-world Star Trek theme park. We talked the importance of planning. We talked GLOW and Steven Universe and the MCU. We talked donuts. We talked sunscreen. We talked Buffy. We talked podfic and cleaning product fandom and what constitutes a crossover. We talked babies. We talked spider brains. We talked bug cock. We talked. We came knowing why we were there, and we came happy to be there, and we left happy.
We all left carrying some food because it was delightfully over-catered, but nobody complained about that.
