Today's big thoughts.

It wouldn't have been all that long ago I'd have wrung myself into knots over not feeling what so many do for Call Me by Your Name. Everyone seems to love it, and so much of it left me distanced, and cold, and I couldn't figure out what anyone in the movie wanted - and then I see The History of Future Folk which I was able to connect to, and I have to remember that different isn't deficient.

Also, I got another random compliment on my hair today. Sometimes it gives me some trouble, and then it makes me stand out enough to be memorable, and I know why I put up with what's not a whole lot of trouble, not really. Not for that way to stand out in a crowd.

FWIW, I feel the same way about CMBYN. I tried to read the book. I watched the preview clip of the movie. And all I could think was, what a couple of pretentious immature douchebags.

I'll just have to add it to my list of unpopular fandom opinions.
