Take a little time.
Without meaning to, I helped cater someone's wedding celebration today. One of the librarians at the NYBG is having her wedding later this month - she and her husband got married at a courthouse a couple of weeks ago, so all that's left is the party. I'd brought in some juneberry bars because I like to bake, and when I found out there was going to be a little celebration, I took them to the pantry where the coffee and tea and cookies were already set out and arranged them nicely in a little basket. They paled in comparison to someone else's spiced carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting, and after trying it, I was very accepting of that particular outcome.
It was lightly drizzling when I took my usual midday walk, and the frogs seemed to like it too. And I got a cortado instead of an iced latte as my coffee order, which means it's officially sweatshirt weather.
In terms of fandom, on the walk I realized I'm still wanting fic about that one woman from the House episode "Kids" who accidentally wandered into the quarantine zone. Is it possible I've just missed it? Or has fandom missed out entirely?
