A key and a verse.
Apparently Lush gives out complimentary facials. I learned this about two minutes before I got one. I'm not sure if I liked it or not - I liked the feeling of the results, knowing I had a layer of dead skin cells scrubbed off, and getting to talk to someone who knew what she talking about when it came to a specialized subject. That sort of conversation is always welcome. But I didn't feel too comfortable since I'm still in the mindset of being someone who doesn't do that sort of thing at all. To illustrate, it's been nearly two years since I've had anyone else cut my hair, and it's easy to sort pretty much everything involving salons and spas and suchlike into one big box and tape it shut.
For context, I was dressed up for dinner with my grandmother in a couple of hours, hair up in a bun with a black dress that got a compliment when I took off my coat. And that helped me play into the situation I found myself in.
I did really like the process and sensory input, and the woman who gave me the facial said she didn't wear make-up either. And the skin is the body's largest organ. I guess it's something that needs more thought.

I'm one of those authors who lacks the skill of easily creating quick summations. I've also just started archiving my Team Fortress 2 story set - two more fics are in the editing states, and I'll start writing the fifth one Sunday or Monday - and I don't know what sort of description to give it, or what notes to add. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear of them.
