Sip their lemonade.
The highlight of my day was, without question, holding a blue-tongued skink and a baby bearded dragon at the same time. A close second was holding an adult bearded dragon who climbed up onto my shoulder and lay there for a while, just content to hang out. Australia makes the best reptiles.
Aside from financial independence and a stable living situation and my own bathroom, I want a decent full-time job so I can own pets again. Forget the cat-dog dichotomy; give me the reptiles and rabbits and I'll be much happier.
In other news, I rescheduled a doctor's appointment so I can make a job interview for next Wednesday. Also, I walked about six miles up the waterfront along the Hudson, and while I won't get any writing done today, took the time to both enjoy nature and articulate to myself exactly where one character's going in the narrative. Hopefully that'll bear fruit tomorrow.
