Open call.
BASCon is coming up in just a few months.
CON.TXT registration just opened.
It'd be a pretty big chunk of change to attend them, mostly in transportation fees, but I've been to both and I know they'd both be worth every cent. I haven't put the money in for them yet, though I want to - the thing that's holding me back is that I don't have any sleeping arrangements set up yet.
I could afford a hotel room if I shared it with one or more people, which I've done, and it's worked out well enough. What works even better is sleeping over at a friend's house to keep the con going into the small hours of the night and spend some extra time with friends.
I'm not above begging to go to these.
Anyone in the Bay Area or DC region think they'd be free for either of these? Is this enough time to plan in advance? Hello? Anyone? Please? Pretty please? Very lonely and isolated fangirl in New York City seeking temporary companionship, will provide compensation and conversation. Hello? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?
