One house menu cocktail before dinner - vodka, espresso, and Kahlua - and one Brandy Alexander as dessert, and I'm still riding steady. Good times.

I gotta say, that first one tasted just like alcoholic coffee ice cream. If you're ever back in New York and get a reservation at Adour Alain Ducasse, order a Illy Issimo Expresso. So worth it.

Mmm, that sounds delicious. It doesn't get much better than espresso and Kahlua.

I'll have to make note of that restaurant. We'll definitely be going back to New York in the next couple of years and spending some decent time there. :)

Oh, man, mixing Kahlua in an evening cup of coffee would be heavenly. And I guess that's what happened tonight.

As a warning and endorsement: when we got the bill, my younger brother said he finally knew what a $100 meal tastes like. It's delicious food, all superbly prepared, but it's also a real economic investment. Plan ahead.

Of course, there are places you can eat for a pittance, so as long as you've budgeted, you should be okay.
