You can't tell me I don't live in a dorm. Flat-out won't believe you. There's no way it isn't - not when I'm sitting quietly at my computer, minding my own business, and the fire alarm goes off. Not even the fire alarm: a warning over the PA system to head to the nearest exit. No flashing lights, no strobe sounds, just the recording telling me to head outside. So I got my ID and room key, put on sandals, and headed out, and waited about ten minutes for the firefighters to give the all-clear and head back to my room. I took the stairs because I knew it'd be faster, and when someone got off the elevator and saw me already on the floor asked me how I'd gotten up so fast and then why I'd taken the stairs, I just shrugged and told her because it was faster.

Seriously. It's a dormitory, down to the freshmen.
