Down the road.
My computer Eureka picked up something nasty this morning. It's in pretty deep, and I'm doing a second round of heavy scanning-and-quarantining but I don't think it's going to do much since the first round didn't get it out.
Since I'm typing this from Eureka, I know what it picked up isn't as vile as other things I've encountered in the past. If I toe it carefully with my computer usage for the next couple of weeks, everything should be stable enough to be used safely until I get a new external hard drive to back up data to safely reformat Eureka. This one looks pretty nice.
I'm not in panic or lockdown mode, but I am on kitten toes. To help myself feel better, I went to Petco a little while ago to look at the lizards and rabbits, which helped quite a bit. Then I went to Starbucks, where a mysteriously free latte helped make the universe seem like a place where problems are capable of being fixed. And in the gym today I was complimented by a trainer on my squat form and for lifting heavy, both of which were nice things to hear.
I still need to prepare for my interview tomorrow, but I can do that tonight.
