Work our way slow.
Today's date is 42 in binary. If I had a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in one form or another, that's what I'd be reading; since I don't, I'll just have to watch this piece of absurdity a couple of times.

One thing I know about my writing process is that I don't bounce around easily: if I'm working on something, it's going to get done more quickly if I focus on that one piece and don't take time for other things. This applies to class essays and papers just as much as fics. Additionally, I know by now not to start things if I don't have a decent idea as to how to finish them. As it is, I realized that I was so close to the beginning of one story it'd be all right to take a few days off of that to work on something else that'd come out to about a tenth of its wordcount.
So since I'm finally in a position where I've got more than one work in progress, have their first lines.
In the end, it was best for them that they move away. Neither of them wanted to go, but moving was better than staying, so one night they gathered their things and left Bon Temps to go somewhere else to live. As far as Jessica was concerned, that was all there was to that story. - True Blood
James Wilson was six years old the first time he fell in love. He barely knew about the words but if he had, would have used them to describe how he felt that day, from one moment to the next. - House

Also, today I realized an AU concept I've been tinkering with is just a story in search of the right fandom - in the case of this one, it's Supernatural. If I end up writing it, I guess it'll point to SPN fic as being a general fandom inevitability.
