Same old.
It's somehow comforting to know the residence hall has that "new dorm hall" smell down just right - it's like I'm back in freshman housing, down to the furniture and lack of shelves. I'm still not quite unpacked, which should get done just so I can get to the bed, and after walking around in bare feet for a while I need to add "shower sandals" to the "to-buy" list along with an electric kettle. Also a throw rug. But I have almost enough space for my books and t-shirts, and I'm checking the job networks regularly, and I got a new day planner. Still no room for my CDs and DVDs, but I can manage for a while. I shouldn't really knock it too much, since it's in a ridiculously well-located area; still, I'll be happy to leave because all my stuff will be in one place again.
Also comforting was, within hours of moving in, cooking dinner from scratch and putting food into the fridge. It was risotto again, since I couldn't think of anything else to buy in the supermarket without having a shopping list with me - it was that, or start thinking of too much stuff, and I didn't want to overload the fridge. That can wait for later next week.
With one episode of the second season of Arrested Development to go and having gotten to the point where saying "panda" over and over is just as entertaining, I'd say it's time for bed.
