Rolling on.

Further content forthcoming, but since I've posted Blood Letting I feel like I can say I'm horribly tempted by this:

WEREWOLF BIG BANG

It wouldn't be hard to find a plot and hit the wordcount - it's only 10,000 words, and I can do that in a little over a week if I've got a good start. And I'd either write about Danny's years on the road, or I'd write about House and Wilson getting into trouble and the trouble getting worse one summer night in Princeton.

The only trouble is I don't have much beyond those ideas, although I admit I'm leaning towards the second idea. Maybe I should sign up and just start writing and see what happens.

I think you totally should!

I like the second idea - and 10,000 isn't a lot, especially once those boys take a wrong turn.

I'm half-tempted myself - I cut the bit about the Northern Wolves, so that would be fun to revisit and flesh out...

The main thing holding me back is that they'd take a turn into a completely different story, and I have to know what that one is before House and Wilson start figuring it out themselves. I have to know what trouble they're getting into beforehand, even if they don't.

The Northern Wolves would be awesome. What got left out of mine was Danny talking about how they'd do little Civil War games and Reuben and Jim would chase him as wolves, which made him learn to climb trees better than anyone else he knew.

Good enough for me!

Aw, it wasn't all hard for Danny.

I inherited my Dad's books and videos about the Civil War (by default, my sister's not much of a history buff), so that might kickstart a fun alternave history...

I was thinking of posting tomorrow or the next day, unless you want me to wait a little longer. Let me know what you want me to do!

He also got to do a lot of things the rest of his family couldn't: most holidays fall on a full moon, so he got to go to them and really participate. (The lunar metaphor seemed too good to pass up, and I wanted to, if not be there first, get in on the ground floor.)

Post it whenever you like. I'll be crossposting mine to communities on Sunday, but it's your story and your prerogative.

Technically it's your story :) I can wait until after you've cross-posted, so that I can link back to yours and give you some extra PR (or ride your coattails)!

That I can go with, and quite happily.

That's a really awesome big bang. You should totally do it. ♥

Heck, I might do both.
