Blustry nights.

I've got just about everything packed to go tomorrow morning, and I'm getting into the nervous flightly stage that comes before big trips. I know I haven't forgotten anything - I still need to put my computer in the bag, but it's stuff like that - but I just can't relax or feel like I can calm down. Knowing I have to get up at six isn't helping.

In terms of good things, today included eating M&Ms on the roof with a friend, a lot of heavy squats at the gym, and catching sight of a pair of rabbits walking back to the house in the evening. The first one was on a playing field of a school, and when it saw me it darted under the fence to the next-door yard, where the second was already. We watched each other, and when I got closer, they did what rabbits do and dashed away. Eastern cottontails, so much smaller than western jacrabbits, but any rabbit is a joy.

Oh, I know just what you mean. I get the worst insomnia before I have to travel.

Knowing I have to get up way early for anything makes it difficult for me to sleep.

Rabbits are indeed a joy. The other night when we were walking the dog, he strolled right up to a bush that had a large rabbit next to it. The bunny froze, Rocket casually sniffed around (corgis have no prey drive unless the critter is moving), and we all went our peaceful ways.
