Saddle the fun times.

Something I did to configure this computer's ability to access the wireless network in the library and information science building managed to put XP Professional onto Eureka. So next Friday I have to go back into the computer help lab to put XP Home back on. It's not a major issue, and it's easily fixed, but it's terrifically annoying - the whole machine runs more slowly, and I don't like its display much, either. Not quite like being pecked to death by ducks or wrangling with employers or banks, but it serves to take the wind out of my sails and rob another night of productivity.

It feels strange that I've gotten very much to the point where I look forward to working on projects - not to be done with them or personal pride, but out of a sense of genuine obligation for the institution. Being part of a group for two of the class assignments helps a lot with them, which is also dealing with the obligations.

I did go to see someone early this morning and talked to her a little bit about interviewing and how to format a résumé for different applications, and that went pretty well. What I noticed was a little plaque she had on her desk which asked what you'd do if you knew you wouldn't fail. The immediate answer I thought of was, "Go write that book about the goslings."
