Holy mother of pearl.
Instead of sitting in a Pittsburgh warehouse waiting for me to get back to the city, my new computer is sitting on my bed right behind me. It's quite the birthday present.
It's going to take a hell of a lot of time getting used to - the whole thing is so damn shiny, I should've gone with a business laptop - but I don't have to worry about where it is, and I can go about setting it up later.
In all honesty, I think I prefer the old, beat-up laptop I'm using now, in terms of keyboard interface. But then, I haven't even turned on the new one, much less tried to write a Livejournal post. I'll see how it goes once I'm not so flabbergasted.
